Well everyone,

    I finally got my LG Tritan I bought brand new off ebay... it arrived monday, but I didn't say anything than wanted a few day's to check a few things out to get a goood review on it.

First off:

Pretty decent size... not to bulky and not to small.... It's about the size of the Glimmer, just has a flip out keyboard instead of just a slide down numberical keypad....

At first, I thought the phone was going psycho... actually it was the thumbpad, the sensitivity on it was all the way up, making it very very sensitive that even if I moved the phone it would think I was touching the tumbpad... so I turned that down and now its working fine...

Pictures... wow where do I begin.. why have a 3MP camera with no flash is way beyond me! The glimmer didn't have that great of a camera like a 3.0 but atleast it took good pics because of the flash... that part was dissapointing, but I knew it didn't have flash.... but the quality of the picture looks funny if its not to bright in the house...

Video Camera haven't done yet...

Interent... had alot of errors at first... I had to close out and go back in 3-4 times before facebook or anything would show up... started pissing me off actually.... I just called *228 and updated the phone once again, and now it seems its going alot faster and working.... might have to keep doing that, I called and automated said they did some new updates since they are switching to verizon...

FLip through screens - pretty neat actually... I keep forgetting I have them, and always going the long route for things... haha not used to it... I have my email in a widget screen and forget all about it so I push on the for dots button and go the long way.. haha!

Still haven't figured out how to do custom ringtones... gave up after searching for a whole day and night.... but I am not gunna give alltel a cent.. I will figure it out since I had to hack into my Glimmer... LG just isn't computer friendly...

I love how you are in a call, and when you take the phone away from your ear to look at the screen it shows up... but blacks out when its by your ear... those sensors are pretty neat, the glimmer was awlful for that!!! constnaly touched it with your cheek and speaker phone.. haha!

Voice Command... doesn't seem to work.... I keep going in there and setting it up, but yet it keeps saying can't understand me... like I have to talk like a retard just to get a damn response haha... nah just don't seem to work.. oh well hardly use it anyways!

I do however have it say who's calling before it RINGS!!! Like "CALL FROM " " MOBILE" is pretty nice... than I know if I really want to get up and grab the phone off the charger or let it ring haha!

BATTERY SUCKS!!! first day of having it, had to charge it 3 times!!! the 2nd day I had to charge it a good 2 times... and now it seems to have to always be on the charger.... maybe its bc im messing with it consntaly the first how many days.. BOUGHT A BACK UP BATTERY! hahah

I like how messaging can be CHAT style... but you lose your signature... hmmm you can change the color of the fonts, BUT you have to do this EVERYTIME... which sucks... I wanted LIME GREEN for all of them, but NOOOOO i have to go in there everytime... * B A STERDS**

ARE YOU SURE THIS IS A SMARTPHONE.... it has ALLTEL WEB..... and ALLTEL SHOP! but alltel insists its a smartphone..... 

not quite sure about NuTsie... haven't quite figured it out... i got my ituesn on there...

Free subscription to alot of cool things.... Alltel NAV.. works pretty damn well.. I used it even when I went only a few blocks away,.. just to test her out...

I hope as time goes on, there's more apps and shit for this phone.... bc right now its pretty plain jane...


Keypad pretty good to type with... I use the slider more than touch... my fingers aint small... so hit alot of the wrong keys.. haha! but getting used to it... with my BB Curve took awhile to learn on those tiny keys too so its all in a matter of time....

INTERNET: host can be found... WTF I pay how much for data and it won't bring it up.. this is what I am talking about I have to click on the damn thing about 3-4 times before it will go through!!!

I might have to call tech support and see why the ehll my interent is acting like that....

My web worked like horse dung til I called the local alltel store, she did something on the computer, told me to take battery out and now its finally working amazingly!

If you go to alltel's site, go to phones and click on smartphone you will notice that the LG tritan is not one of them.. BUT you HAVE to have a damn smartplan for it... so how can this NOT be a smartphone?? if you need a smartphone plan, than why do you click smartphones and the LG is not one of them... don't make sense to me.

At&t is buying out alltel, I thought it was verizon?? I'm confused on that last bit.  If LG would take the time that the bb's and motorola has put into their phones it would be amazing. The bb's have tons and tons of applications where I can't find dittly squat for the Tritan.

I hate how you can't hook it up to the computer to get into the damn phone... I can't do a system upgrade or to see if it needs one because of this...

I love macs! but yes they are pricey! way to damn pricey! That's why I stick with HP's 600 dollars for a HP laptop is amazing, when the cheapest for a mac is no less than 1,000... NUTS! haha
