What are the three dots to the left of the small speaker on the front of the phone? You know, where you listen when on a call.. there are three mysterious dots in a row there. Two of them look like just black dots, but one of then looks like there's something in there behind it. Does it scan your brain while you're on the phone or something? Read your thoughts and tell LG what you want for christmas?

I think it is for when you have the phone up to your ear the screen goes dark, when you take the phone away from your ear the screen comes back on.
Or else something for the camera.

Yeah I got too curious and actually cracked the manual open... it's a proximity sensor for turning off the screen when you have the phone up to your head. I guess that helps save some power and also avoids being able to hit touch screen functions with your sideburns or something.
