I have the phone for a few months now and just last night while typing a text, it just froze. Nothing would work. Finally had to remove and re-insert the battery.

Anyone else had this problem?

only time i had my phone freeze completely was when i left it in the truck at work and tried to use it. just as i was about to take out the battery like you, it started cycling through all these options i was trying to do.

mine has been rebooting lately. i updated the programming to see if that would help. havent had any more issues so far.

Yes, in fact that's why I just joined this site.  This Tritan is my 3rd. replacement in 6 months and now it's starting to freeze.  Out of the clear blue it won't let me make a call, answer a call, or use any other features.  Then all of a sudden it will un-freeze.  Today was the 4th. time in 2 weeks and I'm at my wits end!  Any help figuring out what could be going wrong would be appreciated.

That was the only time it froze for me. It hasn't happened since (knock on wood)

the time my phone froze was due to the cold i believe. so, i keep it out of the cold as much as possible now. leaving it in a vehicle over night is what i mean. i havent had it freeze since that one and only time.
