Got the software up date on my phone to day so far it has fixed ALL my issues... even the one with text ring tones!

you have go to the store they said its takes about 30 min. I just drooped it off and went and ate lunch then picked it up. Seems to be working faster also

I took my tritan in for the update today to us cellular. The tech who was doing it had only been with the company for a couple of months and was a complete tard. I was watching him fumble through the menus on his little us cellular techie computer and he obviously didn't know what he was doing. Anyway, after getting some support over the phone he has to download a file to update my phone. He runs the update, it fails at 97% with a little popup on the pc that says "Error: efs_diag_get_crc()". He tried two other times with the same result. Now my phone won't work. I guess it claims to be updated, but it has no esn or serial number... I'm not sure what to do, they want me to turn it over so they can send it off for repair which could take 2 to 6 six weeks. In the mean time, I get a POS loaner phone. My only other option is for a terrible accident to occur to my phone and I make an insurance claim, but then I'm lookin at a 50 dollar deductible. Isn't there any way this update can be applied from home? I mean the files are that secret that no one has leaked them out somewhere?? Anyone have any advice other than the obvious bite the bullet and let them send it off?

I wish I could get it but no one at my US Cell knew anything about until I told them. They got a memo about the up date but never read it.(I guess) They could not up date my phone because no one knew how. And the tech guy only comes in 1hr every other day. This is at the main US Cell store in a city of 80,000.

Go into phone settings/phone info/version, sw version should end with 05, if it ends with 04 you need the update

Any benefits... lol oh hell ya!! my phone was way better after it, FASTER!! and better response!! and fixed almost every complaint i had about the phone. was showing a friend with the same phone with out the upgrade some pics the other day and he said you phone is a lot faster than min
