As far as I know, you can't do it from there. Or at least, I haven't tried it. You can accomplish the same thing by going to Settings - Sound - Ringers. There you can set a default ringer or assign ringers for calls, texts, picture messages, etc for each of your contacts. Just touch the category and go to Ringtones to select the tone.

If you can save them to the same place as the rest of the ringtones, you should be able to use them just like any other. But to set them as ringtones after you save them, you have to go to settings - sound - ringers

It works on my phone wether i bluetooth it or get them with the usb cable from my computer. Once the audio is saved on the card i just transfer it to the phone memory and click on the sound and it asks u if u want to set it as a ringtone

I did the same thing as pancho.  Save to SD card, then transfer that to the phones memory and you are gold.

I have changed the file to a .qcp and transferred it into my audios folder...now what?  I found it on my phone but it is not in my ringtones folder and there is no way to select it as a ringtone (that I can figure out).  Please help.

Okay, so I've got the ringtone on my Tritan.
It's in my Audio folder.
It is renamed with .qcp
I've done EVERYTHING.
However, when I go into my audios folder, I have no option to apply it in anyway.
Just "delete, send, move, copy, rename, file info, lock/unlock, delete all".
There is no option to apply it as a custom ringer when you go into your contacts, and it's not in the list of ringtones.
However, when I rename it .qcp, it keeps the mp3 extension.
Could this be my problem?
Do I have to fully convert the file to qcp?
If so, does anyone know of a decent converters to use?
Thank you so much.

It will go right to my phone.
Thank you again.

i need a step-by-step of how to use my custom ringtones because nothing else seems to work. Everytime i place my songs in audio it does not give them the option of setting the song as my ringtone

the ringtone should be in my stuff under audios. your media will be on the list under a line that has ringtones above it. to apply audio files to ringtone simply touch the name and a new menu will pop up asking you if you want it to be a ring tone.

I have Alltel too, and I know with the LG Glimmer I had, it took a lot of hacking just to be able to do it... so I guess that's what I will have to do with the LG Tritan....

I can't figure it out either.... on to YOUTUBE!!!
