This worked fine for me before, but I just got a new computer with Windows 7 and it's not working.  I downloaded  LGUSBModemDriver_Eng_Ver_4.5.exe and ran it.  Then I plugged in my phone and nothing happens.  The wizard is supposed to install the modem and serial port, but ... nada
Any suggestions?

Alltel has published software that includes drivers and a connection manager for tethering.
I have used it and have incurred no extra charges.

i'd try oren09's idea first. if its from alltel itself it should work. if not, just right click on the .exe file that your trying to install and click properites at the bottom. then click compatablility at the top and click run this in compatibility mode for.. select vista.

The software is downloaded on the laptop you wish to tether. there is nothing to install on your phone. You will need the cable that is used to charge your phone. You unplug the power head off it and then is is a USB cable.

Well, i went to the web site that was given to download the driver and I put in my info and my phone my provider and the only thing I see dealing with alltel is  LGUsb converterdriver(Ver2.4).exe. i don't see anything that states modemdrive. What do I do next?
