For some odd reason, when i set a ringtone i bought off JukeBox as my text alert, it doesn't play it. it plays some other song.. everything is set to this ringtone. Text Messages, Picture messages and even all messages is set, and it still doesn't work.
Any help?

Alltel or us cellular?
The reason I ask is that Alltel has some issues w/installing ringtones not purchased from them.
Very difficult to make non Alltel ringtones work on the Tritan

Altell. It's weird, i bought two ringtones that was bought off a free subscription thing i got with the phone. and they work when someone calls me, but not when someone texts me..

Funny to have mention this, I have set up a few different ringtones right... okay so

one for txt
one for calls
and a few are for certain people right..

If my volume is at 1, I hear some werid fricken song that is not even a part of my ones I picked...
if my volume is more than 1, I hear the song, but it changes!!! so here let me kinda run down what I mean...

Txt message:
Vol 1: some werid song
Vol 2: MJ - Billie Jean, OR  Match Box 20 - Unwell  it varries between the two..
Vol 3 or higher... it only plays "We Made You"

It has a mind of its own!!! either it wont play the darn tune, or it won't play the right one!!!!

The ones that have certain ones, don't even play half the time!!!

**** really wishes I could upate the darn thing! it keeps making werid screen lines once and a great while after looking at stuff..*****

My wife was told in the store last week they told her there is an update but it took 48 min and she did not have the time to wait. i hope to get mine done this weekend

really wish i could figure out how it works. i plan on going into altell one of these days and asking them, but i haven't had time. i've also heard there's an update that takes about an hour... so yeah, hopefully that's the case with a shorter length for the update.

you have to be careful also of the groups. i put people into groups after having all my ringtones set and then it changed some of them. the group had it's own default ringtone also. talk about alot of settings for ringtones.

Updated my Tritan last night, voice recognition works now, ringtones work where they are programmed.
The only thing that i can't figure out is when I get email and the phone notifies me it plays a ringtone I have selected for something else.
How do you change the email notification tone?

alltel told me there is no upgrade for my phone. either it was already programmed or they didn't have the software problem uscell had.
