I have heard a lot of people complaining about how they cannot get custom ringtones onto their Rumors.
For free ringtones, go to www.myxer.com
You don't even have to be a member.
Just enter your phone #, and it will send you a text with the link to the ringtone. If it says "Continue", select it, and you will have a ringtone. You can do this however may times you want.
This is absolutely legal and does not cause viruses of any sort.

It didn't work for me. Also, I purchased 8 credits with Sony Music Box to get a couple of ringtones, and it says that my phone's memory is full when it goes to download even though there is barely anything in my memory. Any ideas?

I tried the myxer.com site and it says download but then it will only come up for me to play the song. It doesnt actually put it on my phone. Any suggestions? I was able to download ringtones from sony music box. My LG TRITAN did not have any issues with that. 

I've had my LG tritan for about a week.  I have US Cellular as my carrier and I've been able to successfully save ringtones from www.myxer.com.  When it gets delivered click on the icon where it has all the options and scroll to "save media."  It will then allow you to save your ringtone to your phone.

   If your phone is able to have ringtones set to MP3's here's what I do. Download Audacity you can find it at www.audacity.com  you will also need the lame file.
   Once downloaded, go to file>open and pick a song from your music folder or whatever you save them. And it will come up, as you listen find what part of the song you want to have as a ringtone.
   Once you have the song part, go file>save selection as MP3  a window will come up for you to find the "lame" file. This you will only have to do once.

   After its saved, you can add it to your phone.

I heard the LG Tritan, you have to have a certain extention for the file... not sure yet for I am still waiting for my phone, hopefully will be here TOMORROW! This is what I do for my BB Curve... but once I get my LG I will check to see if it works for that as well..

I'm trying mixier but it keeps saying on the phone... host not found EVERYSINGLE TIME! uh stupid alltel! been like this since I got it!

So I downloaded a QCP converter... added the song to the AUDIO than put it on my computer... STILL NO OPTION for set as ringtone!!!! F-IN A!
