Create A Iphone Looking Homepage For Your Tritans Browser

This one was taken from a tutorial on how to make an Iphone
homepage for the LG Dare... Unlike the Dare though the LG Tritan
supports reading the homepage from a file instead of hosting it
somewhere....

Start off Here
http://dare.jrsmith.net/generator/
To design your homepage....

Next after downloading the homepage you designed
unzip it and open the index.html file in your favorite text editor.
Double check all your urls for the links....

(I used the default image link for craigslist and it defaulted to mobile.craigslist.org
which is not my city of choice so I had to edit it ex. yourcity.craigslist.org)

Now save your modified index.html and change the name to homepage.html...

Next using bitpim or LG EFS Tool you need to browse the filesystem of your Tritan

Navigate to
/brew/mod/obigo/external

Copy all images and homepage.html from your Tritan to a backup folder on your pc

Now save your downloaded custom homepage keeping all folders to your Tritan

You should now have the following items in your
/brew/mod/obigo/external dir on your Tritan

css (folder)
images (folder)
js (folder)
homepage.html (file)

After successfully writing to your Tritan close bitpim or LG EFS Tool
and reboot your Tritan open web and have fun....

Not to be a smart a$$ or anything but did you click on the "/" and if so did it try to read the phone and load the file system?

Because they do not mean for you to change it. If they wanted you to change it they would have made as "Home Page" setting in your options

I would actually recommend to use LG EFS Tool it is drag and drop
Make sure you keep the directory structure
css (folder)
images (folder)
js (folder)
homepage.html (file)

this is great thank you so much, also to add to it if you don't want to delete the original homepage file you can keep the index.html name(or what ever you want to call it) when you upload it to the phone, then in the browser go to "file:///index.html" or whatever you named your new homepage. then go to the setting > homepage and click "Use current". this way you can keep the old one on the phone just in case. or even have more then one homepage you can switch around to if you want.
