On my daughters new Tritan, I played with the Alltel Navigator and TV on demand which says they are free subscriptions.  Anyone know if we actually get full use for free?  Or are these demos that will expire?

It's free on Alltel as well.  Along with a few other apps.

Im not sure about the navigator because I haven't had a chance to use it yet. The tv demo is lame because you only get to watch a demo channel that changes networks every couple minutes (so like you get to watch syfy for 5 minutes then it switches to a different program on a different network) I think the idea of tv on my phone is pretty cool, but I already pay 140 dollars for my cell bill ..I can't afford to keep paying for extras because they add up in a hurry. I've been trying to find some way to stream audio or tv, but this phone is EXTREMELY limited because they block you from downloading. I dont get it ..this phone has to have the capabilities to download, hell my old cell from like 5 years ago could download stuff. Has anyone figured out how to do it yet? Or even figured out how to add apps to to you phone via bitpim?

I had a chance to use the navigator yesterday and i think its awesome! Ive always wanted a device like a TomTom but I've never used one. From what I understand of  how TomTom works it seems that this app is very similar. It gave me turn by turn directions to my destination (with map and voice) along with alot of other useful information. It was very accurate and it even checks ahead to make sure that there are no traffic problems. If you get off course (which i did on purpose lol) it plots you a new course and gives you directions to get back to where your going. (you can even ask it where hotels and places to eat are on the way) I think its pretty nifty (I sure hope it stays free!)

I have alltel as well, with my plan, I get 10 channels on Alltel radio (that appears to be free) but the mobi tv is like 10.00 extra per month per line for 40+ channels. I also found out that the alltel nav is in a demo period (even the lady at alltel couldnt tell me how long the demo is) but after the demo is over that will be an extra 10 bucks a month as well Sad I tell you ..you would think that with a 89.00 plan for one line that they make you get for a smartphone (when this phone isnt a smartphone in the first place) you would get a few of these things. You could get these things online (streaming audio and streaming tv) free if the phone was truely a smart phone..it kinda sucks.
